The house
Muhly is the one guests describe with a pause first: six bedrooms, six baths, and a private boardwalk over the dunes to a beach that faces due south. The great room's glass wall retracts fully, so the line between porch and living room disappears from March to November.
Named for the pink muhly grass planted along the boardwalk — cloud-pink every October — the house sleeps sixteen across three kings, two queens and a bunk suite. The pool sits gulf-side with a view over the dunes, and the beach setup (four umbrellas, eight chairs) is carried down and set up by our crew each morning on request.
Big reunions, milestone birthdays, and one memorable fortieth with a string quartet on the deck — Muhly has hosted them all.

What does gulf-front mean for weather?
The house is built to current coastal code — impact glass, raised systems, storm shutters — and faces due south, so summer storms pass quickly. If a named storm threatens, our hurricane policy (in every contract) governs rebooking and refunds.
Can we hold an event here?
Small weddings and milestone parties up to 30 people with an event addendum and approved vendors. Tell us the plan early and we'll walk through noise, parking and tent rules.
Is the beach private?
Florida beaches below the mean high-water line are public; the dry sand in front of Muhly is deeded to the house. Either way, this stretch of Blue Mountain stays quiet — no vendor rows, no crowds.
